I have been interested in social, political, and cultural trends for a long time, and have decided to share some of my personal observations with this blog.
I grew up in Westchester County, just north of New York City, where I still reside. The son of an academic, I traveled widely as a child, which produced a life-long appreciation for different cultures and traditions, as well as inculcating a love of travel itself.
Academically, I studied history, political science, and musicology, but spent my professional career in market research. Recently, I published a book, Storytelling and Market Research. Besides professional and blog writing, I compose the program notes for a chamber music concert series.
This blog will address a broad range of topics of personal interest, as well as offering occasional humorous contributions, including the odd parody of well-known songs.
